Sunday Showcase is a hybrid between rec league and travel ball allowing players to showcase their talents throughout neighboring communities in a more competitive environment against the best talent from surrounding Little Leagues.
In addition to rec league practices and games, Showcase requires one additional weekly practice and Sunday games (total commitment of 4-5 days/evenings per week). Games will be doubleheaders played approximately EVERY OTHER Sunday afternoon in April and May. (8 games / 4 Sundays comprise regular season). In addition, a tournament will be held over Memorial Day weekend (Friday and Saturday only) at Scamahorn Park to conclude the Showcase season.
TWLL will be hosting its Sunday Showcase tryouts on Wednesday, December 13th from 6 to 8 pm at the TWHS Bruin Activity Center. The Tri-West varsity baseball coaching staff will be evaluating players and selecting teams.
· Three divisions aligning with our rec league divisions (7U-8U / 9U-10U / 11U-12U)
o Note that there is no Showcase offering for Tee Ball (4U) or Peewee (5U-6U) divisions
· Showcase registration fee: $200 (This will be in addition to rec league registration fee)
o Includes full uniform (hat, jersey, pants)
· Participation in TWLL rec league is MANDATORY for Showcase players
o If selected for Showcase, player must be registered for TWLL by January 7th to secure roster spot
· Winter practices will be held on Monday evenings at TWHS Bruin Activity Center beginning January 8 through the start of rec season
· Travel expectations: All opposing teams will be within 35 miles of Scamahorn Park
· Showcase participants are eligible for all-stars, but Showcase participation does not guarantee all-star selection
